The developers of an apartment proposed for The Mission neighbourhood have been asked to come up with a better-looking building.
Immortal Homes has plans for a four-storey, 20-unit apartment at 3593 Lakeshore Road near Boyce Gyro Beach Park.
Several councillors felt the building wasn91裸聊视频檛 aesthetically pleasing.
91裸聊视频淚 think it91裸聊视频檚 incumbent on them also to make sure the building is attractive to the neighbours and I think that, at least from my assessment, it looks mundane and plain,91裸聊视频 Coun. Luke Stack said.
Coun. Maxine DeHart added that she was particularly concerned with the look of the east side of the building.
91裸聊视频淚 think it looks like a hospital wall. I don91裸聊视频檛 think it91裸聊视频檚 acceptable. We want them (developer) here, but we also want the neighbourhood to thrive.91裸聊视频
Staff told council that there were several discussions with the developer and that some changes have been made, but they (staff) were not overly happy with the form and character of the building.
Coun. Gord Lovegrove was also underwhelmed with the project.
91裸聊视频淭he intent is there but I think it has to give value back to the community.91裸聊视频
Council deferred approval of a development permit to allow the applicant to work with staff and revise the project, with Lovegrove opposed.
