Blue Ginger celebrates 15 years in business.

Blue Ginger at 105 - 2903 Pandosy St. in Kelowna is celebrating its 15th anniversary in business while the sister property Lily Blue has reached the eight years in business milestone.

Both are owned and operated by Debbie and Stewart Scott, located in the Pandosy Village.  Blue Ginger is a long-time popular gift and accessories boutique. The shop is chock-full of everything from jewelry and hats to bags and candles. The company sources for Canadian brands and their bath and body products are all Canadian. Blue Ginger will mark its anniversary on Tuesday, June 25, from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., with door prizes, birthday cupcakes made by local baker Couture Cakes by Lani and Sperling Winery will be onsite. Lily Blue is a well-known women's clothing boutique that is just around the corner from Blue Ginger. At Lily Blue, you will find shoes, jewelry, hand bags, dresses and casual wear.  Women of a certain age that want to be fashion forward and age appropriate will certainly enjoy shopping at Lily Blue. Both Blue Ginger and Lily Blue have many long-time staff, some since the stores have opened. Michelle Mader is the manager of both shops. Give yourself a lot of time to spend in these two shops as the selection is fantastic.

Cabin 5 Granola was launched six months ago by Stephanie Horman, who has a passion to support food security in the Okanagan in her own unique way. Cabin 5 was created to create a brand that blends the adventure of the Okanagan with healthy snacks to take along your journey and to give back to the community in an impactful way. For every bag that Stephanie sells, she donates a meal back to youth in the community. She is quickly coming up to 2,000 meals donated back in this short amount of time. Cabin 5 Granola isn't just food, it's a lifestyle with one wholesome bite at a time. Cabin 5 Granola comes in flavours of Adventure Bundle, Adventure Confetti, Espresso Sunrise and Spicy Campfire Maple. I sampled the Adventure Confetti with ingredients of oats, honey, olive oil, unsweetened coconut, pumpkins seeds, sprinkles, organic gluten free rice puffs, chai seeds and sunflower seeds. It's a great snack and it was hard to put down with the colourful sprinkles. Available on the retail shelves of Peter's Independent Grocer, Lakeview Market, Okanagan Pasta Company, Chickpeace, Zero Waste Refillery, and other retailers across the Okanagan.
